Selank

Research Context

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide and a stabilised analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), extended at the C-terminus with Pro-Gly-Pro to retard enzymatic degradation. The Pro-Gly-Pro motif is a recurring stabilising tail in short nootropic peptide families of this design; it meaningfully extends in-vitro half-life relative to the parent tuftsin fragment in plasma assay systems.

This lyophilised material is supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory and scientific investigation. Preclinical studies have examined Selank in the context of GABAergic signalling, expression of monoamine-related and BDNF-related transcripts in cultured cells, cytokine modulation, and behavioural readouts in rodent anxiety and learning paradigms.
