Adamax lyophilised research peptide in Australia, supplied for in-vitro laboratory investigation. Synthetic 9-amino-acid analogue of Semax with adamantane modification (reported sequence Ac-MEHFPGP-AG-NH₂). ≥99% purity by HPLC, third-party Certificate of Analysis available. Dispatched within 1-3 business days. Research use only. Not for human consumption, therapeutic use, or diagnostic application.
Research Context
Adamax is a synthetic peptide derived from Semax, a heptapeptide analogue of the ACTH(4–7) fragment with a Pro–Gly–Pro extension. The Adamax sequence is reported in the published literature as Ac-MEHFPGP-AG-NH₂ (acetyl N-terminus, 9 amino acid residues, C-terminal amide), with an adamantane group attached as a stability-enhancing modification.
Adamax is supplied exclusively as a reference compound for in-vitro laboratory investigation. Preclinical studies in the published literature have examined the molecule in the context of BDNF expression, TrkB receptor sensitivity, blood–brain barrier permeability, and peptide stability under enzymatic conditions. No therapeutic, diagnostic, or human-use applications are claimed or implied.
Chemistry & Structural Modification
The defining structural feature of Adamax is the adamantane (tricyclic C10H16) moiety. In published preclinical studies, the adamantane modification has been investigated for:
- Increased lipophilicity relative to the unmodified Semax parent
- Resistance to enzymatic degradation by peptidases
- Altered membrane-interaction behaviour in cell-culture models
Lyophilisation & Stability
Adamax is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed clear glass vial. Lyophilisation minimises hydrolytic degradation pathways and preserves peptide conformation across long storage durations, provided the cold-chain is maintained.
Storage
Store lyophilised vial at 2 to 8°C, protected from light. (Long-term storage at −20°C is standard practice.)
Reconstituted solution: 2 to 8°C, used within 14 to 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Quality & Documentation
- Purity: ≥99% by HPLC
- Certificate of Analysis (COA): published on our COA page.
